Every year, my cousin Brian Hricik organizes a golf outing to benefit The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. My cousin Kevin, Brian's brother, is a two time leukemia survivor, so the cause is near and dear to my entire family. The mission of LLS is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Brian puts so much time and effort into raising money for LLS and does an amazing job! Each year the golf outing raises thousands of dollars to support the cause, and I am proud to donate a photo session to be raffled off at the outing.
Last year's winner was the Barilla Family, and they decided to use their session to get pictures of the kids as a Christmas gift for their grandparents (yes, I am a bit behind on blogging, HAHA!). I absolutely love knowing that clients plan a photo session as a gift for someone, especially when it is for grandparents. What would any grandparent want more than some beautiful photos of their grandchildren to display in their home, enjoy every day, and show off to their friends?
I love photographing families in their homes, the result is so personal and natural. The Barilla Family has a charming home in Lakewood and it was the perfect setting for our photo session. I just love this photo on the couch- it is so cozy looking and I love the pop of color from the pillows and the glow of the Christmas tree in the background. These are some seriously beautiful children- doesn't their skin remind you of a porcelain doll?!
Hard to believe it is almost summer and time for another golf outing! I can't wait to meet the next raffle winner :)
I love, love, love photographing children and families in a bed. There is something so sweet and natural about it, and it perfectly captures a sense of family! Contact Jennie today to schedule your next family photo session!
