Okay guys, I am going to let you in on a little secret. While your wife loves those flowers you get her every Mother's Day, I'm going to tell you what she really wants this Mother's Day. First- TO SLEEP IN! (To the moms reading this… am I right or am I right?). Now if you are anything like my husband, you don't even hear your kids when they wake up. So set your alarm if you have to, do not hit snooze, get out of bed, and let your wife sleep! While she is sleeping, get the kids dressed and fed, and make breakfast and COFFEE for your wife. Plan something fun for the day. A picnic, a trip to the zoo or the aquarium, anything that would be a fun family day that YOUR WIFE DOESN'T HAVE TO PLAN. So after she has her breakfast and coffee, tell her you have all the details taken care of and head out and make some memories. Then, just when she thinks you are already Husband of the Year, tell her you have one more surprise. You purchased her a photo session for her and the kids. Not a family session, not a session for the kids, but a special Mother's Day session just for Mama and her kids.
Some of my favorite photos are ones of mothers with their children. As a mom who spends much more time behind the camera than in front of it, there is nothing I would cherish more than some photos of me with my daughter while she is still little. Not only will I cherish them, but I know my daughter will too when she looks back on them decades from now. Who doesn't love looking through old family photo albums and marveling at how beautiful and how young your mom looked when you were little? Those are the moments a mom and her kids will love looking back at, and that is the kind of timeless gift that your wife will enjoy forever.
So take a look at some of my favorite photos of mothers, and then email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to book your Mother's Day Mini Session. Trust me, your wife will love it!
Mother's Day Mini Sessions will take place in Hudson on May 16th, 2015. There are only a few slots available, so don't wait to book!
